Rurik Acanthus Leaf Brass Chandelier
The Rurik Acanthus Leaf Brass Chandelier builds its whole structure out of cast acanthus leaves — curling from the central body, wrapping each arm, and opening into a spread of leaves beneath every candle cup. The arms sweep outward and curl back on themselves, so the silhouette is closer to foliage than to a metal frame.
Every leaf is veined and rippled along its edge rather than smooth, which is what gives the fixture depth at close range and keeps it from reading as one solid mass from below. The chain and canopy carry the same leafwork, so the ornament runs unbroken from ceiling to the lowest curl. Available in six lights (∅ 28.7″ × H 23.6″) or eight lights (∅ 35″ × H 24.4″) in a brass finish, for hardwired ceiling installation. Takes E12/E14 candelabra bulbs (not included; 3000K warm white suits it best).
✎ The Story
There is no frame underneath the ornament. The leaves are the frame.
Most ornate fixtures build a structure first and then decorate it, which is why the leafwork can usually be traced back to a plain metal armature. On the Rurik Acanthus Leaf Brass Chandelier the arms are cast as foliage from the start — they sweep out and curl back on themselves, holding the candle cups as a branch would.
The same logic runs the full height. Leafwork continues up the chain and across the canopy, so nothing along the drop reverts to plain tube. From the ceiling to the lowest curl, it is one continuous piece of foliage.
